We met on a warm summer evening at one of our mutual favorite night spots in downtown Auburn. Bobby remembers seeing the girl in all black with red lips cheering on the Braves, and Madison remembers seeing the handsome guy with dark hair, also cheering on the Braves, giving her what instantly became the best smile she'd ever seen. After a little conversation and a first date, we had the kind of first kiss they tell you about in the movies. The kind of kiss that gives you butterflies and makes you see fireworks that you don't think is real until it happens. From then on, we didn't realize yet, but we both knew this was it. And the rest is history.
As we were falling in love, separating us was a pretty hard thing to do. We took our time getting serious (a year to be exact), but every moment we spent getting to know each other just made it more clear to us that we'd found the person we were meant to be with. Madison stood by Bobby's side as he finished school, and she knew things were serious when Bobby asked her to move to Houston, TX with him when he graduated. Fast forward a little, and it turns out Madison was (unexpectedly) expecting a new addition to the family. Although not on the timeline we had originally created for ourselves, we knew with the love we had for one another, God was giving us the greatest blessing He can bestow upon a couple. Little did we know this blessing would come with a price, as carrying and delivering him did not go as anyone would plan. But with a few long months in the hospital (where Bobby never left Madison's side), some really awesome doctors, and God's Hand, we welcomed a precious baby boy into our family who has changed our lives forever. Two years later, we can easily say John Mark Farmer is the greatest thing that ever happened to us. As we continue into the next chapter of our lives, we are so happy to do this with him and give him a married Mommy and Daddy.
