There is the option of looking into renting a condo or house. We would suggest staying in Montauk rather than one of the other nearby towns in the Hamptons due to proximity to the weekend's events!
Flight
John F Kennedy International Airport
There are two options if you are traveling into JFK airport. We suggest either renting a car (the more convenient option) to drive out to Montauk from the airport or you can take the Long Island Railroad. You will take the AirTrain from JFK Airport to the Jamaica Station (approximately 15 min). At the Jamaica Station there are kiosks to buy tickets, select the Montauk Station. The train is approximately 2hrs 50min from Jamaica, there are a limited amount of trains from Jamaica to Montauk. You can check the Long Island Railroad schedule online to coordinate with your flights. An important note, if you are traveling in on Friday, the trains tend to be very crowded with limited room for luggage.

LaGuardia Airport
If you are traveling into LaGuardia Airport, your best option is renting a car to drive to Montauk due to no direct connection to the Long Island Railroad train system from LGA.
