We're Getting Married!

Linda and Bobby met on July 24th, 2019. Linda had recently returned to Chicago after living abroad in London and was staying in temporary housing in downtown Chicago. Bobby was renovating his condo, which also required him to stay downtown. The two matched on a dating app, which probably would not have happened had fate not put them both downtown and only a few blocks apart that week in July. Their first date was at the City Winery on Chicago's Riverwalk, where they spent the time talking about their lives so far, as well as their interests and goals. It was quickly apparent they had much in common, including a shared sense of humor that kept them laughing the entire evening. In their relationship's early days, they spoke daily, often for hours on the phone, and spent many a weekend together. They became quick friends and an official couple just a few months after meeting. Together, they spent the next few years traveling, exploring Chicago's restaurant scene, attending Broadway shows, watching many Marvel movies, and spoiling their dog Quinton. They've made some wonderful memories together and look forward to making many more.

After nearly four years of dating, Bobby proposed to Linda on May 28th, 2023, wearing the same outfit he wore on their first date. Leading up to the Proposal, Bobby reached out to Linda's four siblings, sharing his intention to propose. On May 14th, 2023 during Mother's Day brunch, he formally asked Linda's mother for permission to marry her daughter. She said yes. With the help of Linda's best friends, Stephani and Michael, and Bobby's sister, Cristina, the planning for the proposal commenced. It couldn't have gone any better. The proposal took place at home with just a few Chicago-based family and friends present and included flowers, wine, snacks, and of course, the most beautiful engagement ring! Linda was thrilled and genuinely surprised. She said "YES" immediately.
