Bobby and Lauren’s story is an amazing example of God’s plan at work. Born and raised on opposite coasts, their odds of meeting were slim. Lauren was raised in Southern California and went to college in Fort Worth, Texas, while Bobby grew up in Central New Jersey and graduated from Virginia Tech. It wasn’t until the two began their careers that God would step in to bring them together. Lauren moved to Dallas and Bobby was living in New Jersey when they started their virtual sales training with IBM. Bobby reached out to Lauren via their company’s messaging system to casually chat, and they quickly discovered they had a lot in common. For starters, they realized their birthdays were only one day apart! This was the beginning of a long list of commonalities and shared passions they learned about one another over the next six months of training. After training, they both couldn’t help but notice a spark between the two of them. Since everything at IBM was virtual at the time, Bobby took matters into his own hands and flew to Texas to finally meet Lauren face to face. He couldn’t help but invite his wingman–and now best man–Mike Consiglio to come with him. Mike even had a mutual friend in Dallas who knew Lauren! Once they met, Lauren and Bobby knew what they had was more than a friendship. Their weekend in Texas was everything they had hoped for, and all of Lauren’s friends couldn’t help but notice their undeniable chemistry. After Bobby left, Lauren immediately booked a trip to New York City during Christmastime to see him again. New York will always hold a special place in their hearts, as it’s where Bobby officially asked Lauren to be his girlfriend while sitting on a scenic bench in Central Park. Lauren’s flight back home to Dallas was the start of their year-and-a-half-long-distance relationship. At least once a month, one of them would fly to Hoboken or Dallas, work virtually, and spend time in their respective cities. In the summer of 2023, their long-distance relationship officially ended when Bobby packed up a U-Haul, drove across the country with his dad, and moved to Dallas to take their relationship to the next level! Their time together in Dallas allowed their relationship and love for one another to grow exponentially throughout the next year. At this point, they had been dating for two and a half years, and Bobby was ready to take their relationship to an even higher level. He was ready to propose! While helping Lauren's parents move out of her childhood home, Bobby asked Lauren to marry him on the beach at the San Clemente pier in California on June 21, 2024. Bobby's parents and sisters flew in for the surprise and spent the weekend at Lauren's home with her family. Lauren was so surprised and overwhelmed with the emotions of moving out of her childhood home and getting engaged on the same weekend! Her parents now live in Nashville, Tennessee, and while she was sad to close her family’s chapter in San Clemente, Lauren and Bobby have had the pleasure of visiting them in their new home throughout their relationship. They love visiting Nashville so much that Lauren and Bobby decided it would be the perfect place to get married! They are so excited for the future together, and they cannot wait for their loved ones to experience Nashville and celebrate their one-of-a-kind love story.
