FAQs

Question

How would you like guests to dress?

Answer

Please dress casual; dress like you are going to church. This wedding is completely outside, so dress for the weather, the heat, and wear proper shoes for the grass.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

We will have drinks and finger foods available for your enjoyment while you wait for the ceremony to begin and after while wedding party is taking photos. Please enjoy these refreshments and mingle with family or friends. Later in the evening there will be a dinner of BBQ with side dishes. Topped off with the cake cutting and a few extra desserts.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

There will be beer, wine, cocktails, water, and other none alcohol options. We want everyone to have a wonderful time, so please pace yourselves and hydrate properly throughout the afternoon and evening. If you are planning on drinking alcohol please have a designated driver.

Question

How late will the party go?

Answer

We are going to wrap the celebration up by 10 p.m. You of course do not have to stay this late, but you will be asked to leave at 10 p.m. If you are planning to drink alcohol, please have a designated driver.

Question

Can we bring extra guests, plus one's or more?

Answer

The short answer is no. If you are not invited, you are not welcome to attend. We are doing our wedding on a budget, so we are counting every table, chair, food and drinks necessary for the number of guests we invite. Please do not bring extra dates, children, family or friends if you did not ask permission from the bride.

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

We are asking everyone to park in the field pass our house; go to the second driveway on the right. You may park anywhere in the field. Please use common sense making rows and not blocking other vehicles. The driveway to the home will be blocked because the wedding ceremony and reception will take place in front of the home; for everyone's safety no vehicles will be allowed in this area. However, for those with disabilities that cannot walk the distance from the field stop at the first driveway gate and someone will be available to open the gate for an individual and/or show you where to park inside the gate. Note: If you arrive after 3:50, please stay in the parking area until the wedding ceremony is complete, which should end between 4:15-4:30p.m.

Question

Will there be seating arrangements for each of the bride or groom's side?

Answer

Only the first rows on both sides of the aisle will be reserved for the wedding party. In general, this will be a standing room ceremony. There will be a few rows of chairs on each side of the aisle for those that cannot stand for long periods or first come first served; additional guests can stand or sit at the tables under the tents at the reception area.

Question

Can we take pictures?

Answer

Yes, please fill free to take photos before, during, and after throughout the entire afternoon and evening to share with us later. However, during the ceremony please be courteous of others if you are trying to get a good shot; also mute all phones of all sounds during the ceremony. We don't want any distractions or interruptions.

Question

Will there be assigned seating during reception dinner?

Answer

There will be a special table for the bride and groom. All other tables are open seating under the tents; sit where and with whomever you please. There will be additional lawn furniture, benches, and chairs placed throughout the reception area as well for guests to sit.
