Question

Do I need to make vehicle or passenger reservations for the ferry in advance?

Answer

For those bringing cars to the island, we recommend making a vehicle reservation as soon as possible with The Point Judith ferry to reserve your preferred time as vehicle space can be limited. Passenger reservations can also be made in advance and are more flexible. Please see https://www.blockislandferry.com for more information

Question

Do I need a car while on the island?

Answer

There are many transportation options on Block Island which spans 11 miles, and our ceremony / reception venue is a short walk from the ferry. There is also a taxi stand at the ferry stop and many drivers available throughout the island. Bicycle, Moped, and car rentals are very accessible for those who prefer to drive but won't be bringing their car on the ferry. We highly recommend bringing your own bicycles or renting them for a ride around the island if you will be spending additional time on BI

Question

Will the New London ferry be open in October?

Answer

While there is still a chance that The New London ferry will be operating in October, they won't finalize their schedule / operating cut off date until the beginning of September. We recommend making arrangements to use The Point Judith ferry instead which operates year round, and will post an update here as soon as The New London annual schedule has been confirmed.

Question

Is there a train station near the Point Judith Ferry?

Answer

The closest train station to the Pt. Judith ferry terminal is the Amtrak Train Station (KIN) located in Kingston, RI. Travel time is approximately 20 minutes to the Pt. Judith ferry terminal

Question

COVID-19 Mask Disclosure / Precautions

Answer

We are following local guidelines and procedures closely for ongoing safety updates related to COVID-19. Many of our events will be held outside and we will continue to post updates here. At this point in time, masks will not be required indoors at our venue. However we highly encourage you to bring vaccination cards to the island if possible as safety regulations continue to develop
