In June 2022, our story began in the most modern way,on a dating app. Edu made the first move, and Bobby sweet-talked his way into a first date. That date was originally set for a Saturday, but Bobby had to cancel at the last minute when his grandmother took a fall down the stairs. Edu wasn’t entirely convinced the excuse was real but she gave him another chance. A few days later, they finally met (and yes, the story checked out!). Their first date was at Binkley’s in Indianapolis, where drinks and appetizers turned into hours of easy conversation, smiles, and laughter. Bobby knew that night he was all in, while Edu, just a bit more cautious, decided to take her time. By July 2022, after a hike at Strawtown Koteewi Park with their dog, Truman, Bobby asked Edu to be his girlfriend. She said yes, and just like that, it was official. In February 2025, during a cozy getaway to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Bobby asked Edu to spend forever with him. The proposal didn’t go exactly according to plan and after a few failed attempts (somewhere around Plan E or F), the moment finally arrived at their cabin. Edu had just woken up, mascara slightly smudged, and was happily enjoying a Buc-ee’s cinnamon roll when Bobby popped the question. It may not have been picture-perfect, but it was perfectly them and the easiest “yes” of her life.
