Angie and Bobby were set up on a blind date by their good friends Mike and Lisa Smith. Mike and Lisa have been friends with Bobby's family, and Bobby has known them most of his life. Lisa and Angie worked together as managers at County Market, and quickly became friends. On 3/14/2015 Mike and Lisa invited both Angie and Bobby to go uptown and hear a local band. This was the first time Angie and Bobby met, but they had been told a lot about each other. Angie and Bobby hit it off right away and Mike and Lisa left early. Angie and Bobby went on to have a wonderful first date filled with music and laughter. After a few weeks of dating, on April 4th, 2015 Bobby asked Angie to be his girlfriend and she happily agreed.

On 10/26/18, Bobby's birthday, Bobby spoke with their parents and arranged for everyone to have dinner in Prophetstown at Angie's parents house. When Angie and Bobby got into Prophetstown he asked her to go down to the park with him to watch the sunset. The Prophetsown State Park is a special place to them, and they have made many joyful memories there. It was dusk on a gorgeous fall evening, the normally green park was full of fiery autumn colors. They were the only two people there and the park was calm and quiet. The only sound was the crunch of leaves under their feet as he walked her to one of their favorite spots. Bobby got down on one knee, and before he could say a word Angie started crying and asked him "Is this really happening?" Bobby teared up and said yes, told her how much he loves her and asked her to marry him. She said yes, and they both cried happy tears and embraced. They went back to Angie's parents and celebrated over dinner with their parents. It was a perfect proposal, simply sweet and true, with love and family.

A big part of our lives together is Bobby's daughter Cecelia. Bobby and Cecelia have a bond that is unbreakable, and are each others best friend. It truly is a special blessing to witness the love that they have for each other. In the four and a half years that Bobby and I have been together I have watched Cecelia grow from a sweet, shy, intelligent ten year old into a mature, kind, strong young woman. She truly has so much potiential, and I feel lucky to have a front row seat to see where life takes her. Bobby and I have already had a lot of life happen to us since we have been together, and everything that we have been through has brought us closer together. We have built a solid foundation of trust, love and respect that I know will help us get through the ups and downs of life. With Bobby there are far more days filled with happiness, love and adventure than tough ones. Bobby brings me balance, and his love makes me want to be the best person that I can be because he deserves the best. I have grown so much as a person since I met Bobby, and every ounce of it has been for the better. I already love my life with him, and can't wait to see what is next for us!

Angie and I met at a time when I was not looking for love. However, I instantly fell head over heels for her within the first two weeks of our relationship and now here we are about to become husband and wife. I am so lucky.
