June 20th, 2015 was an uncharacteristically cold and rainy summer day, yet Ali and Bobby both found themselves at a pool party in New Canaan, CT. Found The One ✅ Ring Purchased ✅ Proposal Planned✅ Mother Nature’s Cooperation ❌ Bobby and Ali arrived on Nantucket late in the fall season with the island practically to themselves. Bobby had the perfect plan to propose during their last day on island, but as the car reached Sankaty Lighthouse and he had the ring firmly secured in his front left pocket, the skies began to open up and literally rain on this potential parade. Sweat beginning to form on his brow, Bobby had to call an audible and re-plan the proposal. He had previously planned a post-proposal celebratory dinner that would now become the scene where he’d ask the question. The Chef, acting way more calm, cool and collected than the fiance-to-be, notified the staff of the change in plans and gave Bobby the green light. Bobby decided that proposing after the entrees would allow them to truly enjoy their date, and debatably more important, it provided sufficient time to drink some liquid courage. Once the server cleared the dishes Bobby knew this was it, this was the exact moment that would change their lives forever.
