An outsider might think a Women's basketball player and a Men's basketball player would know one another, especially on a small campus. But they would be sadly mistaken. Connor and Bobbie would not be categorized as “outgoing college students”. They both are pretty reserved. One day, while walking past each other in the fitness room, Bobbie, who might’ve had a slight crush on Connor, looked at him and tossed a little smile, like any normal human may do, awaiting the littlest piece of acknowledgment in return. Connor never returned the smile. Not thinking twice, she put her head down and speed walked away, due to the slight feeling of embarrassment. Fast forward a few months later to THE DAY BEFORE Bobbie’s graduation. She and her friends had gone out to the local "Station1" hang out and, coincidently, settled on a spot next to this Connor kid, who was there with his friends. She wouldn’t let her last night in college pass without trying to make conversation with this shy guy she had been crushing on. With some liquid courage, she took the few steps up to Connor. In disbelief, he (who was in total shock that this attractive girl came up to him) began talking to Bobbie, as if they'd known each other months prior. The night was filled with laughter and joy, spending time with their best friends while sharing one of the most precious memories of their lives. Fast forward a few more weeks to when Bobbie was home in Indiana and Connor was home in Columbus. It just so happened that Bobbie was visiting friends in Columbus one weekend. That's when Connor, who had been battling with himself on when he was going to make a move, built up the courage ask her on a proper date. He decided on a lunch date to O’Charley’s. They spent hours talking and getting to know one another: life off campus, hobbies, favorite movies, and family. Everything clicked when they went on their first date, almost as if both of them knew this date would turn into many more. The rest was history!
