We grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, and even shared mutual friends—but somehow, we never truly crossed paths. That all changed on New Year’s Eve 2020 at Maxwell’s Bar in Syracuse, when fate led us both to the same champagne-filled table just before midnight. What began as an unexpected connection quickly grew into something worth holding onto, through two years of distance shortly after our relationship began. From Bills games to Finger Lakes weekends, we made the most of every minute together. When Bobbey finished grad school and moved back, we rented our first place together, learned the rhythms of everyday life (including Brad adjusting to life with a cat), and eventually found our beloved home on Overlook Drive. In November 2024, Brad proposed in front of the roaring woodstove in that very home, with a remodeled version of Bobbey’s mother’s engagement ring. The next day, we hosted Thanksgiving with both of our families—a perfect start to our new chapter together. Now, as 8/29/26 approaches, we couldn’t be more excited to begin this next journey. We feel so lucky to have found one another, to have built a life and home filled with love, and to be able to celebrate this moment surrounded by our family and friends. We can’t wait to laugh, dance, and create memories that will stay with us for a lifetime—most of all, to say “I do.”
