Pack your swimsuits! Barton Springs is Austin's greatest treasure. This natural spring-fed pool is 68-70 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, and we believe a dip is cleansing for the soul. We go every week in the summer. Buy tickets ahead online or pay cash at the window. Card accepted at kiosks outside the entrance. Ride-share recommended, especially on weekends. Closed during the day on Thursdays (open for free swim hours only, 5-9am and 7-10pm).
Our favorite breakfast spot. Order the Migas plate, and ask for chori-Migas (Migas with chorizo).
Known for their blue corn tortilla tacos and dangerously boozy frozen margaritas - don't drink on an empty stomach!
Bobby's boss at Propeller had a competition where the best salesperson of the month received a $200 giftcard to a restaurant of their choosing. Bobby won this prize almost every month for a year, and we ate WELL! Justine's was our favorite of the high-end restaurants we got to visit in that era.
Heather worked here when she first moved to Austin. Hands down the best craft beer in the city. It's also where she met her first best friend in Austin and bridesmaid, Michelle!
We went two-stepping here on our first date. We plan to head here after the wedding for the unofficial after party! They have 2-step lessons on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 7pm. Cover after 7:30pm, usually $5-$15 per person.
Our favorite place to dance, especially after ACL. Gets going after 11pm. It's connected via back patio to Swan Dive next door so you can check out music at both venues plus outside!
