This is the last town you pass through before crossing the Mississippi River to Dubuque. It is also one of our favorite towns to drive through on the way to Webster City. There are windy roads and hills with beautiful overlooks and a few trails. There are great restaurants and a winery, brewery and distillery you can check out!

Stone Cliff Winery is a family owned and operated winery. The vineyard is located in the beautiful rolling hills north of Dubuque in Eastern Iowa. Bob and Nan Smith, the proprietors, planted the vineyard in 1995 and had their first product offering in 2001. Their production and Tasting Room is now located in the Historic Star Brewery Building in the Port of Dubuque along the Mississippi River, Dubuque, Iowa.
The Fenelon Place elevator is described as the world’s shortest, steepest scenic railway, 296 feet in length, elevating passengers 189 feet from Fourth Street to Fenelon Place. Where you will see a magnificent view of the historic Dubuque business district, the Mississippi River and three states.
