Our Story
It all started in September 2024 at Tin Roof in Indianapolis — a night neither of us had planned. Caroline was in town from New York City for a friend's birthday and the Colts game. Tommy, fresh off a string of long residency weekends, was finally out with childhood friends for the Bears game. Colts vs. Bears weekend turned out to be perfect timing.
Three weeks later, Tommy asked Caroline if she'd visit him in Kenya, where he'd be working at a local hospital for two months. She said yes — and a 10-day safari later, it was clear this was something special. Caroline had already decided to leave New York and move back to Indianapolis, and the rest is history.
Tommy moved to Columbus in July 2025 for fellowship and Caroline is joining him this summer.
As for the proposal — Caroline thought they were attending a casual wine tasting at St. Elmo. Instead, she was greeted by a private proposal and dinner with both families. She said yes.
