FAQs

Question

Is there transportation for any of the events?

Answer

Yes. Shuttles will be available for all weekend wedding events. -Friday- A shuttle will depart from the Top Notch lobby at 4:45 pm for the mountain. Guests can also drive themselves—park in mountain lots on the Mansfield side near the red barn. The gondola starts running at 5 pm, sharp. We’ll wrap up around 9 pm with transportation back. -Saturday- Ceremony The venue is a short walk across the mountain road from the resort, so guests are encouraged to walk. Shuttles will also be available from the Top Notch lobby, departing at 3:30 and 3:45 (spots are limited). Additional transportation can be arranged from our other lodging locations — Talta and AWOL — as well as for any locals who coordinate with Lilly, in advance. There is parking on-site as well, but please be responsible and don’t drink & drive! Afterparty Shuttle will be running from the wedding tent at Top Notch to the Matterhorn starting at 10 pm. Vans will be available throughout the night, and the shuttle will bring people home when it’s over.

Question

Why is Stowe so busy this weekend?

Answer

We feel lucky to celebrate our wedding on what is usually the peak foliage weekend, but please plan on any drives taking additional time, as traffic is common due to leaf peepers.

Question

How do I plant my fern paper?

Answer

We recommend planting within the first year of receiving our invite. 1) Remove the ribbon and invite cards. You don’t want anything in the way of your young plants’ future growth spurt. 2) Gently break apart or tear the fern paper into smaller pieces. 3) Choose a sunny outdoor garden/spot or planter/pot. 4) Plant in 1/4″ to 1/2″ loosely packed soil. Give the seeds room to grow! 5) Keep very moist, especially until the seeds begin to sprout. 6) Continue to water as needed. 7) Watch them bloom and think of us.
