Weedon Island Preserve

1800 Weedon Drive Northeast, St. Petersburg, FL 33702

A favorite of ours for quiet nature time. Weedon Island has boardwalks, mangrove tunnels, and scenic overlooks perfect for a peaceful walk or a casual kayak paddle. It feels like a tucked-away slice of wild Florida—great for early mornings or golden-hour strolls. Bring bug spray if you’re going near sunset!

Pass-a-Grille Beach

St. Pete Beach, FL 33706

A charming, laid-back beach town with cute shops, ice cream, and waterfront dining. Perfect for a casual afternoon. Rachel went here with family all the time as a kid!

St. Pete Pier

A newer downtown waterfront area with art installations, restaurants, and stunning views of Tampa Bay.

The Dalí Museum

1 Dali Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

A world-class museum featuring Salvador Dalí’s surrealist art. A must-visit in downtown St. Pete. One of Rachel's favorites!

Sunken Gardens

A lush botanical garden tucked in the middle of St. Pete—a peaceful stroll and photo spot.

El Cap Restaurant

3500 4th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33704

A local gem and one of our personal favorites! El Cap is a no-frills burger joint with serious flavor—the kind of place where the onion rings are golden perfection and the burgers are everything you want them to be. It’s laid-back, nostalgic, and full of character. If you’re craving a classic, this is a must.

Buoys Waterfront Bar and Grill

677 75th Avenue, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706

We haven’t had a chance to visit Buoy’s yet, but it’s high on our list! Located right on the water in Pass-a-Grille, Buoy’s offers beautiful bay views and a laid-back coastal vibe. Their menu features casual favorites, fresh seafood, and tropical drinks—perfect for a sunset hangout or relaxed afternoon bite. Let us know if you go before we do!

Vintage Marché

2906 34th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL 33711

We haven’t been yet, but we’re excited to go! Vintage Marché is a once-a-month pop-up warehouse market filled with retro treasures, mid-century furniture, and funky finds from rotating vendors. It’s currently scheduled to be open the weekend of our wedding, so if you’re into vintage decor or just love a good rummage, this could be a fun stop during your stay.

Critical Hit Games

11270 4th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33716

A great local spot for tabletop gaming, mini painting, and all things D&D. We’ve stopped in for Adventurer’s League events and always find something cool to browse—whether it’s dice, paints, or the latest board games. They host regular game nights, and it's a solid stop if you're into hobbies or looking to join a session while you’re in town.

Anime Fix

968 58th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710

A hidden gem for anime lovers and collectors alike! Anime Fix is a locally owned shop packed with figures, model kits, plushies, blind boxes, and other hard-to-find merch. Whether you're into Ghibli, Gundam, Pokémon, or something more niche, it's a fun stop just outside of downtown St. Pete. (A certain bride’s niece gives it a solid 10/10.)
