Question

What dishes are being made?

Answer

We will be having a pig roast for our wedding! Most of our dishes will be provided by our wonderful hosts, but if you find that you would prefer a different entree, side, or dessert, you are more than welcome to bring a dish of your own, pot-luck style. It is not a requirement. :) This is a tentative menu, things may change as we get closer to date / day of! Entree: - Pig roast Sides: - Macaroni and cheese - Baked beans - Cole slaw - Caesar salad - Pasta salad - Potato salad - Rolls - Fruit Desserts: - Cake - Brownies - Cookeis Drinks: - Sweet tea - Water - Soda - Whiskey sour - [Rachel's beverage of choice, TBA] - Frozen vodka lemonade - Frozen pina colada - Beer

Question

Dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual / smart casual. Reminder that this wedding is meant to take place outdoors. Colors to avoid: White and gold. Our wedding party will be wearing light gold ties and outfits, so please let them feel special with us! All other colors are welcome! Here is a list of attire options that may make it more clear what level of formality we are expecting: Jackets: Sport coat, blazer, cardigan, sweater coat. Tops: Dress shirt, casual button-down shirt, open-collar, polo shirt, blouse, tunic, classy sweater. Bottoms: Slacks, chinos, nice jeans (clean, no rips or holes), skirts. Dresses: Leaning towards more casual dresses, such as sundresses, wraps, asymmetricals, midis, maxis, etc. Floor-length and maxi dresses are more than welcome, but be mindful that we will be outdoors for the ceremony. The ends may get wet/dirty if it has recently rained. Shoes: Dress shoes, loafers, boat shoes, boots, heels, flats, etc. Anything higher than sneakers and flip-flops, honestly. If you are wearing heels, make sure you are comfortable walking in grass or have a back-up pair of shoes for the outdoor portion of the day. Ties are optional. This is not an exhaustive list; if you do not see your choice of outfit, just compare its level of formality to what is listed. If you are still unsure of whether the chosen outfit is appropriate, you are most welcome to email or text using the information at the top of the FAQ!

Question

Are kids allowed at the ceremony / reception?

Answer

Ceremony - Yes, but they will be expected to sit through the whole ceremony if you'd like them to be there with you. Reception - Absolutely!

Question

Can we take pictures / videos during the ceremony?

Answer

No. During the ceremony itself, all guests will be expected to put their phones away and out of sight. Our photographers will make sure to capture beautiful photos of our special moment that we can then share with you later.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

No later than 4 weeks before the ceremony (September 7th, 2024). This will give us enough time to confirm the guest count and seating arrangements. You may RSVP whenever you wish prior to that date!

Question

My name isn't showing up to RSVP

Answer

If you were invited to the wedding and you are having this issue, then please let us know using the contact info at the top of this page with your first and last name.

Question

Can I bring a date (plus one) to the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we have to regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
