An only child for the first three years of her life, Ashley has benevolently shared her wisdom with her younger sisters at every turn. She diligently lead a search and recover mission for Whitney’s first lost tooth in a sandbox moments before a commotion of kindergarten girls arrived. She also taught Whitney that Chapstick was for more than just eating. They have been friends since college.

When Lindsey “Lulu” Bloom learned to speak, her older sister eagerly awaited to hear her say her name. Alas, she had no need to attempt “Whitney” because that B was always hovering. Whitney fondly remembers watching Law and Order: SVU at an inappropriately young age and terrorizing the local radio station to play Black Eyed Peas together.

Whitney has completely bucked the stereotype of the black sheep middle child. While both of her sisters pursued careers in healthcare, Whitney prioritized living west of the continental divide in rural mountain communities. Happy to stay in the Vail Valley with Mark, she can’t wait to see what other adjustments he makes to the FJ Cruiser to accommodate their adventures. Past upgrades include extra gas cans, paper maps, and a sleeping platform for warmer camping trips.
