**After some helpful feedback from friends, we recommend you call the Kennedy School to make your reservation instead of booking online** An elementary school from 1915, the Kennedy School has been converted into a hotel with multiple restaurants and bars within, including a 105*F salt water soaking pool! The Kennedy School is located in the historic Alberta Arts District of Portland, which is a super fun and colorful part of the city, and one of our favorite areas to walk around and of course, eat. This will be our central location for the welcome dinner, after-party, and pick-up/drop-off transportation for the wedding. ***If you'd like to be at the center of the action, we definitely recommend you stay here or nearby!***

Booking a place to stay in an unfamiliar neighborhood can be limitless! So let us make a few suggestions. 1). If you can, book early. PDX in June is the beginning of prime tourist season! 2). What neighborhoods should you target? First, some geography. Portland's East & West sides are divided in half length-wise by the Willamette River. All wedding activities are taking place on the Eastside (Kennedy School is in the Northeast; the wedding venue is in the Southeast). Streets running vertically are numbered, whereas the streets that are horizontal are named. We recommend booking West of 80th. For fun neighborhoods and walkability to food/things to see: - Alberta Arts District (NE) - Hollywood District (NE) - Mt. Tabor area (SE) - Division/Clinton area (SE) - Hawthorne/Belmont (SE) - Woodstock (SE) - Sellwood/Milwaukie (SE) For other neighborhoods a little farther from main attractions, but lovely options: - Maywood Park (NE) - Concordia (NE) - St. John's (N) - Happy Valley (S)
