Two of our best friends were VERY persistent on making sure the two of us met. Not only did Becca receive a "Does Becca like bald guys?" text one day from Elle, but also got a full, in-uniform, all-angles photoshoot. Chris, on the other hand, thought it was unorthodox, but put on his best poses for David. It was at this point she decided that he was worthy of her number.

The first date coincidently took place one month before the world shut down. It was decided that it would be brunch! Chris got off to a rough start. Not only was he running late, but it just so happened that he also forgot his wallet... Chris discovered that Becca has a condition called hanger, and he didn't yet know how serious it could get. After a marathon 8-hour date that continued on to a brewery with our matchmakers, Chris was exhausted (because he's an old man), but knew a second date would all but secure his fate.

Three years. Five months. And five days later... Becca had been planning a trip to Salida when her parents were visiting from Wisconsin. Little did she know, Chris was planning a little something too. Luckily, three days before the proposal, Chris was able to fashion a ring just in time for the weekend's big event. Once they got to Salida, Chris didn't waste any time. On the first night, after going out to dinner and playing games all night, the clock struck 10pm and it was decided that everyone would go outside to start a fire and stargaze. In the pitch black, with wind gusts of 30 miles per hour, Chris started a propane fire. After being perched on his knee for over a minute, Becca finally turned around and saw Chris ready to pop the long-awaited question!

In a place where these two Midwest kids fell in love, we look forward to tying the knot out in Colorado! We're so excited to celebrate the next chapter in our lives with everyone. See you in the mountains! <3
