Get ready to meet Makenzie—aka Mak! She's an actor, bartender, and professional fun-creator who met the bride through her fiancé (yep, he's her boss—plot twist!). When she's not serving up drinks or stealing scenes, Mak’s out there living her best nerd life. She and the bride are cosplay partners in crime, attending cons, Ren Faires, and probably plotting their next epic adventure in a world of fantasy and fun. Oh, and let's not forget her round, orange tabby, Merlin, who’s basically her tiny, fluffy sidekick.

Meet Ben! His journey with the bride started back in college, where they bonded over their shared love for theatre through 2am Denny's visits and way too much whiskey. They were each other's first friend in college—clearly, they were destined for this day! Fun fact: the bride once totally hustled two grown men into giving Ben a job—boss move, right? He’s a massive nerd and a proud DnD enthusiast, so if you need someone to roll for initiative, he’s your guy! The bride was honored to join Ben and his wife as a member of his groom's party. Now we're even! At home, he and his wife are kept in line by their adorable black cat, Lemon.

Meet Megan, all the way from New Zealand! She’s the proud owner of Iggy Pup, a dog who’s convinced he’s actually a cat (don’t ask, it’s a mystery). Megan and the bride go way back—like, all the way to 5th grade! They spent countless sleepovers staying up WAY too late, playing Mario Kart (who’s the better racer? 🤔) and reading fantasy books—talk about nerd goals! From childhood adventures to lifelong friendships, Megan’s been by the bride’s side through it all. Megan is one of the first real friends the bride has had in her life. Do yourself a favor and meet her.

Say hello to Sam, the preschool teacher who’s basically a sunshine personified and has a heart as big as the ocean! Sam and the bride met in Seattle, where they bonded over an epic DnD campaign that went on and on until Sam and her husband had to move away. (Let’s just say, it was the best campaign she’s ever been a part of, and we’re still trying to top that level of awesomeness!) When she’s not shaping young minds at school, Sam can be found soaking up the sun at the beach, living her best coastal life. Sam and her husband, Chase, were foundational friends to the bride in Seattle. Don't miss the opportunity to experience these adventurers.

Meet Will, our Best Man, and the groom’s favorite whiskey-loving troublemaker. The two first crossed paths at the Queen Anne Beerhall, where the groom, as the GM, took a bold approach when he noticed Will flirting with one of the bartenders (who also happens to be one of the groom’s dear friends). He jokingly warned Will that he’d kick him out if he was being too creepy—little did he know, Will was actually on a date with her! As Will and the bartender's relationship blossomed, so did the friendship between him and the groom. Will's love for whiskey is as strong as his bond with the couple, and his favorite drink pairing is a pint of Stiegl with a shot of Eagle Rare, which he affectionately calls a "Stiegl Rare." A true man of character, Will has been a great friend, a solid rock, and a fantastic Best Man!

Introducing Austin, one of the groom’s most cherished friends and groomsman. The two first met while working together at Pike Brewing Company, where they navigated the challenges of the restaurant world during the uncertainties of COVID. Their bond grew stronger as the groom moved on to manage the Queen Anne Beerhall, with Austin soon following suit. Over the years, the groom has had the privilege of watching Austin evolve into one of the best bartenders, husbands, and soon-to-be dads around. Austin is someone who will always go out of his way to show love and support for his friends and family, and his unwavering loyalty is something the groom values deeply.

Meet Jill, our incredible groomswoman and a cherished friend to both the bride and groom. Jill and the groom first crossed paths at the Queen Anne Beerhall, where her vibrant personality, incredible hair, and endless supply of jokes made her an instant favorite. It didn’t take long for the two to become fast friends, and Jill quickly won over the bride and groom with her warmth and generosity. One of Jill’s standout qualities is her amazing home cooking—she’s especially famous for her legendary meatballs, which have earned her a special place in both of our hearts. Jill’s infectious energy and big heart make her a true gem in our lives, and we’re so excited to have her stand with us today!

Meet Evan, a groomsman and one of the groom's closest friends. Their friendship began in college, where it was truly love at first sight. From that moment on, they were inseparable, and even though distance has separated them at times—whether Evan was living abroad or just a short drive away in Portland—their bond has remained unshakable. Evan and the groom have spent countless nights on Discord gaming together, always picking games where they can build bases and leave behind hidden jokes for each other. Of course, no gaming session is complete without the infamous "bucket"—an inside joke that only true friends will understand. Evan has been a constant and supportive friend throughout the years, and we’re so glad to have him by our side today!

Their friendship is so strong that they even got matching tattoos to commemorate and immortalize their connection. If you ever get the chance, ask Frankie about Shoebill storks—it's a conversation starter you won’t want to miss! Frankie has been an unwavering friend through thick and thin, and we’re thrilled to have them standing by our side on this special day.
