Evan and I started dating at the beginning of January 2019. On one of my trips to visit him, we went to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Every trip we took together, I always brought a deck of cards. Rummy was our rainy day game or our beach day game. We were at the beach, and Evan mentioned he forgot the deck of cards in the car. I waited at our spot. He came back and handed me the cards to shuffle. As I was shuffling, I noticed some writing on each card. I didn't think much of it and continued shuffling until I noticed one of the cards said Will You Marry Me? I was super confused and surprised. I looked up, and Evan was on one knee holding my beautiful ring. Of course, I said yes! On each card in the deck, he had written little love notes to me. It was honestly the perfect day and the best way he could have ever asked me.
