Things To Do

Des Moines' Downtown Farmers’ Market

300 Court Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309

Going to the farmers' market is one of our favorite things to do in the summer! It's open from 7 am - 12 pm on Saturday. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat before the wedding, it’s a great spot to grab breakfast or an early lunch.

Des Moines, IA

The East Village has a variety of shops, restaurants, and bars to check out! We recommend: -Storyhouse Bookpub -Porchlight -Stoked -Vibrant Coffeehouse and Kitchen -The Iowa Taproom -Fong's Pizza

Valley Junction

West Des Moines, IA

There are lots of great restaurant options in Valley Junction as well as fun shops! We recommend: -Bix and Co -Black Cat Ice Cream -St. Kilda Collective -The Boho Vase -Reading in Public

Smash Park Des Moines

6625 Coachlight Drive, West Des Moines, IA 50266

If you're looking for somewhere to hang out before the wedding, we recommend checking out Smash Park. They have pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor games, as well as a lot of options for food and drinks.

HomeGrown Des Moines - Crescent

555 17th Street, Des Moines, IA 50309

If you’re in town for the weekend, we recommend grabbing brunch at HomeGrown! They have lots of great options for food and drinks. We recommend trying their seasonal menu items!

Eatery A

2932 Ingersoll Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50312

Eatery A is one of our favorite places to eat (especially during their happy hour)! We recommend their wood fired pizzas.

Guesthouse Tavern + Oyster

9500 University Avenue, West Des Moines, IA 50266

Guesthouse has become one of our favorite restaurants! Their menu has many good options for “blunch” or dinner. It’s a bit of a drive from the wedding venue but their food is worth it!
