come celebrate our love with us!

December 24th was the fateful day when I first walked into Paper Source and saw Aly. She didn't know it that day, but I knew the moment I saw her that I had to know more about her. It was a busy Christmas Eve and she was busy restocking items and working the cash register. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous to go up to her, so I had to find some reason for us to speak. When Aly went to work the cash register, I took my chance. I looked around and and grabbed the first item I could find; an astrology calendar. I stood behind my mother in line anxiously waiting for my opportunity. As my turn was coming up, Aly's coworker stepped up to the cash register next to Aly and said "I can take the next person in line". Looking around, there was no one that I could give my spot to and had to go to the next cash register. My chance was blown but I couldn't just walk away. Determined, I came back the day after Christmas hoping to run into Aly again and get another chance. I walked into an empty store and could hear women speaking in what I assumed was the breakroom. After a while, the manager came out to ask if I need anything, I declined and said I was just looking around. Another 15-20 minutes passed before the manager came back out and asked if I was sure I didn't need any help. The act was up and it was obvious I wasn't acting looking for anything so I put it all on the line. I explained to the manager about how I saw Aly on Christmas Eve, tried talking to her by buying an astrology calendar and walked out without getting my chance. Aly's manager asked me to describe her and I did; she was certain she knew it was Aly. I asked if she knew the next time Aly would be working before realizing how weird that is. The manager obviously couldn't tell me the next time Aly was working so I left the only information I could: my number and Linkedin profile. I walked out not knowing if Aly's manager would actually pass along my information or not but I took my chance. I waited 2 long days while seeing Aly check my Linkedin profile repeatedly. I even reached out to my little sister, Tessa, for advice. "Should I reach out on Linkedin or leave it be??" Tessa told me that if it was meant to be, Aly would reach out. She finally did after 3 or so days, and we had our first date on January 2nd, 2020. From there the rest is history and we cannot wait to celebrate 6 short years together with you all on October 10th, 2026!
