Our favorite beach to go to in Connecticut - in fact, a favorite for many members of the Blicharz family! Meigs Point features a nice jetty to walk out on, and you can grab some great seafood at Lenny and Joe's or Clam Castle nearby.
Gillette Castle in East Haddam, Connecticut, was built by William Gillette, the famous stage actor and playwright, most notably known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.

Jenny grew up swimming, hiking, tubing, and twisting her ankle on slippery river rocks here - right down the street from her childhood home! Lots of great hiking trails and a cool river to swim in on a hot summer's day. The park is the home to the Comstock Covered Bridge - a covered bridge connecting the town of East Hampton to the town of Colchester, spanning the Salmon River, first built in 1840, but entirely replaced in 1873.
Emerging and revival musical theater shows offered in an 1876 riverside opera house. The Gelston House Restaurant and Inn next door offers outdoor dining by the river - lovely!
The Florence Griswold Museum is an art museum in Old Lyme, Connecticut centered on the home of Florence Griswold, which was the center of the Old Lyme Art Colony, a main nexus of American Impressionism. The museum is noted for its collection of American Impressionist paintings.
New Haven features Yale University (a beautiful campus), the Yale Art Gallery, and the Yale Peabody Museum. New Haven is also home to the original Frank Pepe's Pizza, established in 1925 and known for their signature white clam pie!
