Yes, it's a party. And yes, it's a bad time to have a party. Please feel free to bring and wear a mask, and to stand apart for social distancing. Masks aren't just for the ones wearing them- they're even more for the people around us. The last thing we want is for anyone to get sick, especially those of our guests most at risk. We will absolutely respect any safety decisions you make, even if that means not coming at all. We will be using these safety measures: Hand sanitizer stations around the area, masks for those who want one, and red wrist bands to wear to signal to others that while you still want to be social, they should please keep their distance.
I'm glad you asked! We would love to invite everyone to the ceremony itself but we just really don't have the space, as the ceremony will take place in our small front yard. As a result, only a few people will receive an invitation to the ceremony. Some people will not be asked outright but instead asked to let us know if we should make room, which we will be very happy to do. And everyone will get an invitation to the reception and party. We know it's awkward not to invite everyone to the entire event, but we hope everyone understands our space limitations. And we really hope to see *everyone at the party!!!!!
YES, it will. And NO- we do NOT have central air conditioning, but we have a few window units. We will have shade, fans, and cold drinks.
Wedding casual attire. It will be hot, so no need for suits, etc. The bride will be in a tea-length dress and the groom will have an open collar, if that helps. Keep in mind this is at our house- the ceremony and reception will both be in the yard. Plan your footwear accordingly.
Caterer, shmaterer- we're hiring a food truck!! Cheesie's Truck will be here serving gournet grilled cheese sandwiches from 6-8 p.m. They can only serve to people at our party, so make sure you get a wristband. And enjoy! It's on us!
To drink there will be beer, wine, and two signature mixed drinks. Also soda and water, of course. We will have a bartender on hand. Drinks are on us, but feel free to tip her.
House guests are welcome almost any other time, but really? Sorry, not tonight. There are some lodging ideas under the "travel" tab.
