We first met in 2020 at a friend’s house, crossing paths casually and getting to know each other in a friendly way. At the time, there was no expectation; just easy conversation whenever our paths crossed. It wasn’t until 2022 that something shifted. We began to truly notice one another, and with open hearts and open minds, we allowed the possibility of something more. Fittingly, it was at that same friend’s house where a simple moment sparked the beginning of our story; we both noticed we were wearing Apple Watches. A shared competitive spirit instantly connected us, and a playful bet was made: whoever had the best results after one week would win the bet. Demetrius won of course! The bet was a walk on the beach. That beach walk changed everything. What began as friendly competition quickly turned into meaningful conversation, laughter, and a deeper connection. From that day forward, we were inseparable; talking almost everyday, seeing each other every week, and discovering just how naturally life flowed together. The rest, as they say, is history. And that’s where our love story truly began.

Our love story began with intention. From the very beginning, what we shared was never rushed or accidental. It was built slowly, thoughtfully, and with care. Over three years, our relationship grew through love, patience, understanding, and a deep respect for one another. We didn’t just fall in love; we chose it, every day. What we found in each other was peace as much as passion. A calm, confident love rooted in trust, kindness, and genuine partnership. We learned how to listen, how to grow, and how to stand together through every season. In one another, we found both safety and joy. At the heart of our journey has always been faith. We believe our relationship was guided by God long before we understood the full plan. Through prayer, reflection, and shared values, we came to see our love not just as a blessing, but as a calling; a covenant meant to honor God and serve a greater purpose. On Christmas Eve last year, surrounded by family, our story reached a beautiful milestone. In a moment filled with meaning, faith, and intention, we said “yes” to forever and stepped into the promise of a shared life together. Now, we begin this next chapter with grateful hearts and clear purpose. Not simply to celebrate a wedding day, but to build a lifelong commitment; a Kingdom Marriage with Christ at the center of all we do. This is our story so far.
