What started as a day at the cove with friends developed into a love that has been blessed beyond measure. Although we met on Memorial Day in 2013, our love story didn't truly begin until we decided to put God at the forefront of our lives and relationship in June of 2017. The four years that followed our initial meeting were full of love, getting to know one another, adventure, ups and downs, and finally the most magical proposal. On December 17, 2017 Branson took me to church like any other Sunday and then to my parents for lunch. I didn't think much of the day beyond being thankful for an amazing boyfriend and a beautiful family. I found it a bit odd when we pulled up and there was nobody in sight. As I walked to the barn doors waiting for Branson to open them, the people I love most walked out from the side of the house and I just knew today was going to be the best day ever! When I turned around I saw Branson on one knee holding my great grandmothers ring, wearing a big smile, charmingly fumbling with the words "you want in on this?" of course, I said yes! After the initial surprise I noticed our bible study teacher was there for the proposal not realizing why Branson whispered "so are you ready for the other surprise?" We were baptized by our Bible study teacher in my parents pond with all our loved ones there to witness the completion of giving our lives to our Lord and Savior. Words could never describe the experience of having the Holy Spirit present for one of the most important moments of our lives.
