Wilderness Trail Distillery
For a true taste of Kentucky, don’t miss a tour at Wilderness Trail Distillery, our favorite local stop on the Bourbon Trail. They hand out the best bourbon balls at the end of the tour (trust us!) and their tastings are top-notch. If you’re planning to visit any distilleries on the trail, be sure to make a reservation in advance as they fill up quickly.
The Trustees' Table
About 20 minutes away from the venue, the restaurant at Shaker Village is one of our favorite places! We ate here the night we got engaged and took engagement photos here. Their menu rotates seasonally and is always delicious. If you go, we recommend making reservations ahead of time and leaving yourself a bit of time to walk around and read about the historical village. We look forward to many more date nights here!
The Hub Coffee House & Cafe
The Hub is a local favorite Danville coffee shop. It is perfect for a morning latte or pastry before the wedding events.
Madison’s Mercantile
Madison's Mercantile is a Danville gift shop owned by a dear friend. It’s our favorite spot to pick up something special for a friend to pick up a little treat to take home for yourself.
Burke's Bakery & Delicatessen
A true Danville classic, Burke’s Bakery has been delighting locals for years with fresh treats and old-fashioned charm. They’re famous for their incredible donuts, but Jessie’s personal favorite is the vanilla petit four. Tip: bring cash for a slight discount while you stock up on sweets!
Copper and Oak
Copper & Oak is one of our favorite Danville spots for dinner or a Sunday brunch. Jessie's favorite brunch is the hot honey chicken & waffles or the chicken biscuit!
Finn's Ice Cream
Finn’s Ice Cream is our favorite local ice cream stop! They make all of their ice cream in-house, and honestly everything is delicious. You can’t go wrong with any flavor!
Dry Branch Farm Market
This is one of our favorite places to stop in on the weekends! It is a local meat market, but they also carry gourmet food items and local merchandise.
