Cat and Blayne first met at their mutual friend’s apartment as a house warming party. They heard of each other prior while they were going to college, but were in separate relationships at the time. Freshly single and not planning to mingle, Cat met the famous Blayne in person and couldn’t help but think he was cute. On the other hand, Blayne was ready to meet Cat and thought the same. They watched a horror movie together and Blayne asked for a good night’s kiss.
Blayne and Cat went on many dates while they lived 200 miles apart, to Cat’s knowledge she had no clue where Pateros was. It didn’t help the fact that Blayne made it seem like he was just a town over each weekend. Their midway point was Leavenworth and when June 12th came around he finally asked to be exclusive. Cat was ready for their story to unfold!
Their long distance relationship was no more when Blayne started attending Green River College to pursue his Forestry degree. He’s all by himself in an apartment in Kent with his friends way back home, so Cat eagerly agreed to live together. Their connection became stronger as predicted by caring for one another and respecting each other’s personal time. They made so many memories living close to Kent Station, and made more friends along the way!
This was Cat’s birthday weekend and they had a birthday celebration/get together with all of their friends and families. She had no idea what was in store for her since she was just happy to have a get together with her loved ones. She even joked to Blayne at one point with a Funyun Ring that she wanted to put it on his ring finger. She does those silly jokes often, but Blayne was not having it and brushed it off. Little did she know that later that day after a group photo they took with their friends and family was a decoy to get everyone in the front yard. She ask who else wants to take a photo with her as if a celebrity and they all said Blayne does. There was his shot. Cat turned around to step out further into the front yard more and that’s when he got down on one knee, she turned back to Blayne and saw what happened. She burst into tears, crouched down to sob into her hands until Blayne asked Cat, “babe?” He didn’t even have to pop the question, his body language and a big smile on his face said it all. He asked after Cat was able to face him again, “Catherine, will you marry me?” “I do!”
