Our Story
Our story began at a clambake on a beach in Montauk in August 2021. We were both staying in share houses, and there was an immediate attraction. We even texted our friends asking about each other, but neither of us made a move, and life carried on.
A couple of years later, Matt moved back to Miami, and we found ourselves in the same friend group. We became friends first, texting about life, relationships, and everything in between, without realizing where it would lead.
Then came January 13, 2024, and a Dolphins playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Dolphins let Matt down, as usual. Luckily, the rest of his night went much better. After watching the game with friends, Matt went over to Jaime’s, and we shared our first kiss.
Before long, we were dating and practically living together in South of Fifth. Matt also fell for Josie, Jaime’s dog, who quickly became part of the package.
Our story wasn’t entirely a straight line. We spent a few months apart, but never really left each other’s lives. Eventually, we found our way back to one another, stronger and more certain of what we wanted. Matt moved in with Jaime on the Venetian Islands, and we began building our life together.
Along the way, we grew close to each other’s families, shared countless memories with friends, and discovered that some of our happiest moments are the simplest ones: staying in, cuddling in bed, and ordering Starbucks.
What started as a spark on a beach has become something so much more: a home, a partnership, and a future we can’t wait to share. We’re excited for a family of our own, plenty of laughter, and a lifetime of growing old together.
