Located in Downtown St. Petersburg, The Dalí showcases the unique works of renowned artist Salvador Dalí. We highly recommend looking to see what the temporary exhibit has to offer as well. From melting clocks to illusions in paintings this institution has been a Tampa Bay Area staple since 1982, with the unique new building opening in 2011. Located by the water in Downtown St. Petersburg, The Dalí is in close proximity to numerous parks, restaurants and walking areas.
Sunken Gardens is St. Petersburg's oldest living museum at over 100 years old. Nestled in the heart of St. Pete, built in a sinkhole, Sunken Gardens is a lush and tropical botanical garden; home to more than 50,000 exotic tropical plants and birds from around the world. There are few better ways to spend a beautiful day in St. Petersburg.
The Museum of Fine Arts was the first Museum on the Downtown Waterfront, opening in 1965. The MFA houses the only comprehensive art collection of its kind on Florida’s west coast; highlights include masterpieces from Monet, O’Keeffe, Morisot, Wiley, and others, two gardens, and one of Florida’s most respected photography collections. The museum is often home to impressive temporary traveling exhibits as well.
