Question

What should I wear? Why is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love everyone to dress up! It’s an excuse to wear that gorgeous dress or suit that is sitting in the back of your closet. We are asking everyone to avoid wearing jeans and tennis shoes. Anything from church attire to black tie attire. We want everyone to feel and dress their best! There is no such thing as “too much”, so please have fun! Please avoid white as this color is reserved for the bride.

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be in Carney, MI. The ceremony portion will take place outside, weather permitting. Mid-May is usually in the 50-70 degrees, but after all it is Michigan so it could change. The reception will be in Escanaba, MI, just 25 minutes from Wilson. The reception venue is indoors. Please see the “Schedule” section in the menu for addresses and specific start times.

Is there transportation for to and from venues?

Answer

Not at this time. We do have family members that we can connect you to, to give rides. If you have any further questions, please reach out.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes! We would love everyone to have fun and enjoy their time. At this time we will not have any “traditional” set dances on the schedule. But we will have a dance space that we want everyone to utilize, whether a slow dance or having fun.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have given plus ones to guest who would 1.) Not have many friends or people they’d know at the wedding, or 2.) people traveling from far away. We do have limited space for our wedding reception venue. If you feel that you need a plus one assigned to you, please reach out to Joshua or Isabella. Please be understanding if we have to decline for space reasons, this is nothing personal. Those who were given a plus one will have “guest” labeled on their invitation envelope.
