Wedding is Coming

We first met during the summer of 2016 at our summer job together. We were paired up to be group leaders together last minute and as we decorated our classroom I (Brittany) began to fall in love. Honestly the moment I truly decided to pursue Jon (yes, I chased after him) was the moment he started to sing. No not because he has a good voice by any means but, because he was just being himself. Now Jon, on the other hand being his extremely laid back self will tell you that it just happened. There was never a true moment for when he decided to take me on forever but, that it just happened over time. Thank you Summer ICC 2016 for bringing us together <3

Jon pulled off the ultimate surprise and I mean ULTIMATE! We were headed to Jon's parents house for what I thought was a graduation/engagement party for his sister and new fiance. Little did I know; it was an engagement party for us. We walked inside to the party and just inside the door was a 'Burgardt' sign (that we will hang in our home someday), and a frame with songs titles that remind Jon of me. "Will You Marry Me?'' was hidden in the song titles. As I broke into tears it became clear to Jon that my answer was yes, although I don't think I ever verbalized it because I was crying so hard. Jon had all of our closest family and friends there to celebrate with us. It was beautiful night and one we will never forget.
