The I Do Crew

Andrea & Blake

Former Sandwich Artists at Large

Lauren Davis

Best Person to the Bride (AKA Best Bippy)

Known pretty much exclusively as Bippy, Andrea's little sister is her polar opposite. Blonde hair, one of the popular kids, emotionally intelligent. But when these two get into a room together, there's nothing — I mean even the stupidest nothing — that they won't die laughing over. (Or maybe kill each other over?) Either way, Andrea has put Lauren through a lot, but she couldn't imagine anyone else by her side on the day she marries her best friend.

Haley Luersen

Best Person to the Groom

Even though Blake and his little sister Haley are 10 years apart, you wouldn't guess it by the fun they have talking about movies, Subaru Crosstreks, and music. Though it's no surprise, because some of her favorite bands are the ones she heard through the walls of her bedroom while Blake got ready for high school. He will always love coming home for the holidays to her thoughtful gifts and Mario Kart face offs. 300 miles can't break a bond like theirs, nor can it stop Haley from being an amazing best person!

Grant Luersen

Brother of the Groom

The Man, the Myth, the Grunt: he's the goofiest little brother there is. There's no challenge too big for Grant, including making people laugh. He's currently working on his pilot's license, loves photography and travelling, and is always showing Blake the latest and greatest movie, anime, or fighting game. While they've never fought a day in their lives, Blake and Grant put the "Super" in Super Smash Bros. 👊

Alex Luersen

Brother of the Groom

With a heart as big as his creativity, Blake's brother Alex has recently made New Albany, Indiana his home with his girlfriend, Teddi. His passion for cosplay, knack for finding treasures at Ollie's, and shared interests in video games and childhood cartoons with Blake reflect a special bond. Alex is always proud to tell Blake about what's going on in his life, because they're not just brothers; they're each other's FIRST brother. ❤️

Sid Caierley

Officiant & Matrimony Homie

Sid is one of a kind. You'll never find someone as up for anything or as hands-on as she is. Whether she's just demolished her and Jay's house and is heading to the bar still covered in soot, sewing her own wedding dress/swimsuit combo, stringing up silkworms across their apartment, or taking the prize at a hackathon by marketing plants in shirt pockets as wellness biotech, Sid's creativity and motivation knows no bounds. She inspires us to be open-minded and live our lives to the fullest!

Jay Caierley

Matrimony Homie

During Andrea's freshman year at Pitt, she heard this mythical Jay person mentioned so many times. But it wasn't until the summer of 2017, when Jay returned home from a semester abroad, that we finally met him at a backyard BBQ. His crazy stories, the Wednesday BBQs, and mechanical engineering classes with Andrea would go on to cement our friendship. Jay later introduced Andrea to the Robotics Institute at CMU, which led her to her current career of lunar rover design. He and his wife Sid are always down for an adventure of any shape or size, and we couldn't imagine not having them in our lives.

Ben Grammer

Matrimony Homie

Where to start? Ben and Blake have been best friends since they were in preschool. They've been through everything together from devoting their entire childhood to Dragon Ball Z (so much so that they both got matching DBZ tattoos), headbanging in Blake's Camry so hard you would have thought it had hydraulics, to partying a little too hard on New Year's Eve and waking up in a field. It doesn't matter how long it's been since they've hung out; as soon as they're together they pick up right where they left off.

Conor Flaherty

Matrimony Homie

The noblest of Irishmen, there isn't a more genuine person than Conor. The three of us met at one of Jay's BBQ and bar crawls, after which Conor helped hoist Andrea onto Jay's second-story deck to retrieve her car keys. (Blake was sleeping like a baby in Conor's car.) He and Blake have a deep bond over phonk music and Gen 3 Pokémon (all other generations are inferior), and the three of us are always down for a trip to the bar if only our dang schedules would line up.

Kate Lockwood

Matrimony Homie & Sub Bearer

There would be no Blandrea without Kate Lockwood. She's the sole reason Blake and Andrea met in the first place. It all started at the prestigious establishment that was The Fort Thomas Subway where she hired both Blake and Andrea and watched them fall in love. Kate's funloving and energetic personality is what made working as sandwich artists so much fun. Although they don't see each other as often as they used to, they have a blast catching up over breakfast and mimosas ❤️ 🥂

Mary Beth Brune

Mother of the Bride (aka Dr. Metal Mom)

You will never meet another person like Andrea's mom. Her small stature, large Hummer, and affinity for Randy Blythe of Lamb of God make for an unparalleled combo. While Andrea's glad she didn't get her mother's poor sense of direction, she is glad that she got her unwavering determination and music taste. Now that we live 300 miles apart, we can't look in the mirror and say, "Same DNA!" as much as we used to, but that doesn't mean it isn't still true.

Jodi & Carl Luersen

Parents of the Groom

Blake inherited all of his best qualities from his parents: his mom's curls and love of football, and his dad's encyclopedic memory, great beard, and ability to give incredible hugs. While it was tough to watch him move to Pittsburgh, their support for Blake’s journey has been a constant, and we can always measure their love by the amount of leftovers they send us home with. We're not sure how they got it right on the first try, but their love and guidance has made Blake the amazing person he is today!

Pat & Charles Brune

Grandparents of the Bride

Andrea's Grandma and Grandpa are more than just grandparents; they helped raise her to be who she is today. Their love is the giving kind, whether it's through Grandma's Tuesday-night chili with a side of American Idol, Grandpa's driving lessons, family vacations in Hilton Head, or dropping off a forgotten permission slip. Even from far away, they always remind Andrea how much they love her with that frequent blue light in her living room.

Judy Jett & GrandBob

Grandma and GrandBob of the Groom

Blake's Grandma and GrandBob are an incredibly sweet and fun-loving duo who enjoy cornhole, Senior Olympics, and card games. Blake has fond memories of spending time at Grandma's house in peaceful Jackson, KY, playing dominoes and scarfing down tons of French toast. There won't be a more heartwarming presence at the wedding!

Pamm

Silly Boi

Our first child. Pamm Spray, Pammykinz, Pamanthony, Pamela Anderson, Parmesan, Pamm the Man... It doesn't matter what you call him; all that matters is that he has no ballz.

Marge

Silly Girl

Margarine, Large Marge, Baby Squirrel, Margie Pargie — ain't no cuter, cuddlier, or squirrelier kitten cat than this one right here
