Some love stories unfold slowly, in quiet moments that later echo with meaning. The story of Jordan Madden and Blandine Cadet began not with fireworks, but with purpose, patience, and providence. Rooted in their time at Georgia State University, their love was built on shared values, strengthened by faith, and destined for joy. From the start, Georgia State was more than where they studied. It was where they grew, led, and served. Jordan, a student leader and policy advocate, pursued public service with passion and purpose. Blandine, deeply devoted to care and healing, found her calling in healthcare while uplifting those around her. Both were proud members of The 1913 Society and lived on the same dorm floor during their first year, yet their lives truly intersected only later in their college journey. One afternoon, Jordan volunteered to help Blandine's co-RA decorate their floor. When she had to step away, Jordan and Blandine were left to finish the task together. What began as a routine project quickly became something more: light conversation, laughter, and a surprising ease between two people who had always been just out of each other's view. Jordan, proud to be from Atlanta, wanted Blandine, an immigrant from the Bahamas who also lived in Canada, to experience the city through his eyes. They started with breakfast at the Atlanta Breakfast Club and then spent the day exploring Stone Mountain. They hiked, talked, rode the skyride, and shared stories as if they had known each other far longer. Both were used to fellowship through service and faith, but this connection felt different, gentler, deeper, and filled with a peace that could only come from God. What was supposed to be a brief outing turned into a full day. Jordan ended the evening with a stop at his favorite BBQ spot, Wood's Chapel, in the heart of Summerhill. Surrounded by good food, warmth, and the hum of the city he loved, they sat together, two souls tethered by a quiet trust they hadn't expected but fully embraced. It wasn't just a first date. It was the beginning of something sacred. A relationship not rushed, but revealed through moments of purpose, vulnerability, and divine alignment. As their relationship deepened, it evolved into a partnership rooted in trust, compassion, and a shared calling. Between classes, campus leadership, and life's challenges, they chose to build something intentional. Through hardship and healing, joy and uncertainty, their love was guided by faith and an unshakable belief in each other. At Calvary Harvest Baptist Church, they continue to serve together, growing spiritually and walking in alignment with God's plan. Their relationship is built on prayer, purpose, and a shared understanding that marriage is not just a milestone, but a ministry as well. They are shaped by families that taught them the values of sacrifice, loyalty, and love. These foundations became their compass. And when Jordan proposed at Stone Mountain, the very place where everything began, it was a full-circle moment that honored their past and sealed their future. What began as two students living parallel lives at Georgia State has become a union grounded in faith, purpose, and deep, abiding love.
