Dawson & I talked for the first time on October 14, 2020 when we met through Tinder. We quickly set up our first date for the following week. I still remember scooting on my moped to meet Dawson on the corner of University and 13th street SUPER nervous to go on a date with a complete stranger. Four hours and a few missed texts later, I broke the news to Dawson that I wanted to see other people after our date, trying to keep my options open - we still laugh about that to this day. Dawson quickly scheduled a second date with me where he asked if I would be his girlfriend. Something not everyone knows about is that while on our third date (one week of dating), is when I found out my mom had passed away. Dawson stood by me during the most difficult time of my life, never once doubting his sureness of our relationship. His unwavering patience and kindness had completely won me over. We quickly fell in love, sharing our first "I love you's" after dating for two months. We talked about our future together, met each other's families, and continued to fall head over heels. Dawson told all of his friends on New Year's Day of 2022 that he would be proposing this year, and went ring shopping with his sister-in-law, Mariah. He proposed to me on his birthday - May 19, 2022. Through our journey together, we have never doubted the intention God had of putting us in each other's lives.
