Our story began at a local dive bar called Lucky Lure. Nicholas had just rescued Duchess and was settling into his new townhouse, which he had envisioned as the ultimate bachelor pad. Meanwhile, I (Chloe) had just moved back to Orlando after an 8-year adventure away. Nicholas often jokes, “She came over one night and never left.” And honestly, that’s pretty spot-on! Our relationship, our story quickly began to grow into something beautiful. Nicholas’s bachelor pad soon transformed into a lively home filled with the love of 3 dogs and 1 extra human—me. Nicholas and I are always looking for signs. We got the ultimate sign during one of our first trips to the dog park. As we walked the trails, talked and laughed, we had a cardinal following us the whole time. This was the ultimate sign from those we love. From then on, we became nearly inseparable, and Nicholas made a playful pact: if we could survive our first football season together without a hitch, we were meant to be. Despite cheering for different SEC teams, we passed the test with flying colors. The story took a heartwarming turn when Nicholas proposed at my mom’s house during a celebration for his birthday. As we step into this next chapter of our lives, we’re thrilled to share our journey with all of you.
