Nikki Blakemore
Bride
She is a tomboy to the max. She isn't the type to willingly wear a dress, but loves her concert tees, jeans and boots. She hates the color pink and would rather be in the mountains instead of on the beach. Nikki is an avid football and country music fan, with dreams of owning her our recording studio one day. She works hard for her kids and would walk through Hell and back for them and any child, not just her own. She will be the first to tell you that she isn't perfect and doesn't expect anyone else to be. She tries to always let God lead her way but will also tell you that her redheaded stubbornness gets in the way from time to time. She's working on it! She is a recovering people pleaser and has recently decided that being herself, the way God made her, is so much easier. Nikki will always be the first to tell anyone to never change their selves based on what anyone else thinks, life is too short, so live it the way God made you. This Bride's favorite bible verse is John 19:30 "It is finished". When asked why, she said, "Those were Jesus's last words in an earthly body. Even in his last breath he spoke life into the world by letting us know that our sins were paid for. He cared and loved enough to think of us in his last breath, not himself and all the horrible suffering he had been through, but instead, he thought of us. He gave his ALL, his EVERYTHING for us. To me, I am not sure that there is a phrase in the bible that carries as much weight as that one does."
John Kimbro
Groom
John is a whole country boy at heart. Nikki calls him her "feral Mississippi man". He loves to hunt and fish any and every chance he gets. He is a devoted father, a very hard worker and an avid outdoorsman. He loves serving at church and whenever he can to help others. There isn't much this handy man can't do. Proverbs 3:5-6 are the verses this Groom tries to live by. When asked why, he said, "It reminds me that God is in complete control. I can give him everything and totally submit to his will and trust that he has a greater plan beyond any of my understanding." John isn't a man of many words but if it comes out of his mouth, you can bet it's the truth. He is one of the most honest men you will ever meet, and he lives by that. John's favorite childhood memories revolve around his late mother taking him for ice cream on his birthday every year. As an adult he tries to follow in her ways and create as many memories for Carson, Lexi and Rambo as he can. He hopes they will be able to look back on these one day and pass them on to their children as well. His signature " hey girl/ hey man" is easily recognized from across the room. However, he will refer to you as "human" when you are on his last nerve, whether you are one or not. It's a pretty safe bet that deep down inside this grown man, there is a playful child just waiting to get into all the mischievousness he can about 90% of the time.
Chase Stewart
Matron of Honor
There has never been a dull moment between the Bride and Chase! Nikki met chase while working at Petsense, almost exactly 15 years ago. Chase's "Uncle Ronnie" was the assistant manager and knew immediately that these two would be two peas in a pod. Though there was an age difference, Nikki was pregnant with Lexi (due basically any day) and Chase was only down from Memphis TN to visit Ronnie, they struck up a Facebook friendship. A few years later in 2015, Chase moved back down to Foley, AL and their friendship really took flight. Not long after Chase moved down, Ronnie unexpectedly passed away. Nikki recalled all the many times Ronnie was a light and protector for her in more ways than just a manager. He had become family to her as well. Her and Chase leaned on each other harder and the "sisterhood" took hold. They have worked together at jobs and life, slept on each other's couches for no other reason than not wanting to leave each other just yet, shared life changes and new pets together. Chase was in the delivery room when Ramsey was born and Nikki stood by her side as she and Tanner Stewart said their vows. Chase had a big part in helping John plan the proposal and now she stands beside the two of them as they exchange their forever vows. These two ladies will wreak havoc in the nursing home one day!
Blake Wolfe
Best Man
Blake is not a man of many words but "Where's my cup?" is his signature phrase. Blake has been a mentor and an amazing friend to John. Did we mention he is also John's boss? They have been working together for the last 9 years. John is always quick to point out that this is his personal longest relationship! LOL These two met at church and continue to build each other up in the gospel and on a day-to-day basis. They also have their own lingo and vocabulary. For example, "Bobby!" is short for "hey John!". These two also share a love for the same hobbies; Working with their hands, creating things out of nothing and of course, in the words of Luke Bryan, "HUNTIN, FISHIN and LOVIN EVERYDAY". However weird their bond may be, there is no denying the common respect for one another and most of all God in their lives. The entire Wolfe family has become family to John and Nikki, and they thank God for the fellowship and love within it.
Sarah Scroggins
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Nikki go all the way back to Lagoon Baptist in the early 2000's. Sarah was in middle school and Nikki was in High School. Sarah would follow Nikki around Unmercilessly. Once Sarah was old enough to be in the youth group, they got even closer. Nikki will always refer to her as a little sister and that won't ever change. The countless youth trip shenanigans and late-night convos had by these two is unsurpassed. Chick-fil-a is always a must and never an option when they are together. Sarah has been there and watched Lexi and Ramsey grow. Who can forget the Frozen tea party of 2014 with Elsa and Anna?! Not them! Sarah has been around to meet most of Nikki's questionable choices in men. Gary Hubbart and John Kimbro being the exceptions in those. Sarah was by Nikki's side and saved her from countless panic attacks during the planning of her and Gary's wedding. Her, Nikki, and Gary are all still close friends. Nikki decided this go around she would let Sarah get some wedding planning rest! :) Nikki, Lexi and Ramsey were all in Sarah's wedding. Ramsey tried to steal the flower girl and Lexi tried desperately to steal the groom (Anthony) but to no avail. Anthony was and is dead set on life with Sarah and was welcomed into this crazy little family with open arms. One thing is for sure, you can always count on Jesus chicken and Bible reading with these sweet and crazy chicks.
Greg "Leo" Dent

Leo and John have been long time friends since high school. Leo was promoted from friend to brother-in-law a while later. John's sister Jennifer (his Irish Twin) and Leo have been together for 12 years and have a beautiful, blended family with five kids altogether. There are regular get togethers and fun to be had between John, Jen and their families. The families love to hang out together down at the Cove and swim with the kids. Leo and John like to go hunting and fishing together. Leo was along for the ride the first time Nikki helped John clean a deer. To their surprise, she was unphased!
Lacie Watts
Bridesmaid
Lacie and Nikki met in Nikki's Sophomore year of High School. Lacie was a freshman, and they were in ROTC together. They became fast friends and loved to shoot each other "not this again" looks in class. They could read each other's facial expressions clear across the school building. Drill teams and drill meets were always the highlight of their days. Lacie and Nikki were on the orienteering team together one year and took first place as they led the team to the first medal the school's ROTC had ever received. Kayla (another bridesmaid), Nikki and Lacie all became pregnant during the same year of 2010 after high school (no, it wasn't planned) and they were there for one another every step of the way. These three friends can go months or longer without talking and then pick up right where they left off. The understanding between these 3 is something most will never know. They were there for each other through absolutely horrible relationships, births, break ups and eventually the loves of their lives. In this comparison, Nikki is the Bougie one and that's saying a lot! One thing is for sure though, they have each other's backs and will always love each other's children as their own. Don't mess with their babies! These girls will also move mountains for each other and try to get together every year though it doesn't always happen, they are always close at heart and are willing to lend an ear or words of encouragement or whatever needs to be done to help the other.
Tony Duckworth

Tony and John have worked together for almost 8 years. Tony loves and adores his 3 kids and works hard for his family. Maddox, the youngest child, is never far behind his daddy. He follows along like a tiny Tony shadow. Like the rest of this groomsmen crew, his also enjoys hunting and fishing. He even loves to host crawfish boils for friends and family.
Kayla Kerns

Kayla and Nikki met through Lacie (another bridesmaid) in high school. All were in ROTC together, and since there weren't many females in the group they quickly formed a bond. She has always been a bit of an old soul, with a little wild mixed in. Which means her and Nikki hit it off quick. They weren't afraid to tell anyone like it was. Kayla, Nikki and Lacie all became pregnant during the same year of 2010 after high school (no it wasn't planned). And they were there for one another every step of the way. These three friends can go months or longer without talking and then pick up right where they left off. The understanding between these 3 is something most will never know. Robert Grissett

Robert has been a friend of both the bride and groom for a very long time. John met Robert in high school, and they became close through those years and mostly afterwards. Though other friends came and went, Robert stayed. But here's the kicker! Robert was also a friend of Nikki's. They were in the same youth group at Lagoon Baptist and had some of the same classes together. You can bet, between the bride and the groom, Robert could probably tell some tales, but for their sakes, we won't ask. LOL. Yet somehow, not once did John and Nikki ever actually meet while they were each hanging with the exact same friend groups. Nikki recalls a story about some of the youth group going out after church one night to the beach and to get ice cream for her 15th birthday. Robert drove his old white, single cab pickup truck and everyone piled in. "There were probably too many of us in that truck between the cab and the bed. But I, being a tomboy and one of the guys, jumped up in the bed of the truck with the boys and never thought twice about it. Robert then dropped each of us back at our own homes. But he thought I lived in the house across from my actual home, so he pulled in that driveway. One of the other guys told him his mistake and he went to back up into my driveway but.... I was already jumping out over the tailgate and he backed into my shin. I got so mad at him but was laughing at the same time. I still have the mark."
Alexia Blakemore-Hubbart

Lexi is Nikki's beautiful and sassy daughter. Nikki will tell you that having Lexi saved her from many things in this world. She has a very giving and caring heart, and a stubbornness that can only come from a red headed Blakemore, and it will allow her to take on the world one day. She is a wonderful light to all who know and love her. She may have her quirks but who doesn't. Just be sure to ask her if ducks can fly! She may surprise you with her answer. Shes funny, kindhearted and sometimes wears her heart on her sleeve but she is the most strong-willed girl you will ever come across. And the apple didn't fall far from the tree, don't mess with her family and friends, she will get you. In addition to her strong will, she has a stronger faith. She and God have a one-of- a- kind bond and she knows with God on her side she can do great things........ except keep her room clean.
Carson Kimbro
Groomsman
Carson is John's Handsome and talented 14-year-old son. He enjoys working with Legos and building things with them without any direction, and he is a whiz at it. He loves hard and plays harder. Loves to fish and play video games in his spare time. He is a light in this world and can bring a smile to your face just by flashing one of his or by letting out his sweet infectious giggle. He has a heart of gold and an engineering mind. Don't ever count him out because he can move mountains. His mind is always going and trying to figure out how to make things better than they already are. This boy loves God and isn't afraid to say it. Carson also enjoys being a big brother to his two half siblings and Rambo and enjoys being a little brother to Lexi even though they are only 4 months apart.
Tiffany Morrison
Flower Woman
Tiffany and Nikki met while working at a vet's office. It wasn't long before they figured out, they not only lived less than a quarter mile from each other on the same road but also, Nikki's Cousin-in-law (Tim Meacham) was Tiffany's favorite teacher at Trussville High School. Small world, right? These two hit it off and became bestie co-workers. Giving each other rides, going on nail salon dates, etc. Tiffany became a fixture of the family as Lexi renamed her "Aunt Tissany" and thus an incredible friendship and sisterhood was formed. Many nights after one of those "hard workdays" which in the vet field, comes more often than not, they would sit in the car and talk or even cry with each other. Phone calls and texts about not only life in general but meal talks and work too, became a regular. After Nikki left the vets office to go back to Petsense where death wasn't so prominent, Chase (the Matron of Honor) began to work for the same vet. It was then that this trio was born. These three animal loving girls became fast friends and knew just what to do after a long day of work... snuggle with each other's fur babies after hanging out at the nearest gathering spot.
Ramsey "Rambo" Hubbart
Ring Bearer
Sweet Rambo almost needs no introduction as he is.... well... he is Rambo. He is Nikki's son and all the ladies know him. That long hair? Oh, he keeps it long so the girls can play with it. Rambo steals hearts wherever he goes. He has a bond with Jesus that most adults could only wish for. He knows God is forever on his side. He is smarter than you could ever imagine and could one day create the cures for world hunger and cancer... but don't push wearing socks or washing his hair. Thats not his vibe most of the time. He loves his momma, tolerates his sissy (SHHHHH.... he does love her) and loves Carson. He is a lover of all animals just like his momma, bugs and snakes included. Don't you dare bully him or anyone around him, after all, his daddy was in a war and his bonus dad hunts! He is a light to others and an absolute lovebug. During football season, he can be found alongside his momma cheering for the Auburn tigers!
Jesse Holden
Flower boy
Jesse is Lacie's son. He was born just a few weeks after Nikki had Lexi. This boy is very protective of those he loves. He plays football for his school and is always up for a challenge! He has two sisters Jade and Lilly, whom he loves but won't admit it. Jesse loves to explore the woods and regularly makes trails in the woods behind their house. He is a big ole teddy bear but doesn't mess around when he sees someone who needs protecting.
