April 30th!
There are two public parking lots very close to The Bonnie (22-70 33rd St, Astoria, NY 11105 and 22-16 33rd St, Astoria, NY 11105), plus plenty of street parking nearby. Meters are in effect on 23rd Ave and 31st Street until 7pm on Saturdays, but parking on the surrounding neighborhood streets is free. If you’re staying at a nearby hotel, we recommend taking Uber, Lyft, or another rideshare service.
Cocktail attire requested! Dressy and polished, but also comfortable and ready to par-tay! Bring an extra pair of pants - you never know when you might rip them down the middle while dancing like Matt did once at a wedding! Statement dancing shoes are also highly encouraged.
Yes! We’ll be hosting a welcome party the evening of Friday, May 29th at Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, and we’d love for you to join us to kick off the weekend.
A little of both! The ceremony will take place outdoors at The Bonnie under a retractable roof. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the roof will be closed. So rain or shine, we've got you covered (literally!!). The venue also has indoor spaces we will be using throughout the celebration.
Doors open at 6pm, and the party goes until 11pm. Please arrive at 6pm so you don't miss the ceremony… or any of the cake, dancing, or best of all, Katie's original song. Come ready to celebrate, it's going to be a hootenanny!
We recommend LaGuardia (LGA). It’s the closest airport, just a short drive from The Bonnie, and most convenient for getting around Astoria and northern Queens. Plus, if you're lucky, you'll see the 25 foot tall water fountain, complete with dancing water!
Public transportation totally works! The N or W subway lines are your best bet. Take either subway line north to Queens to the last stop, Astoria-Ditmars Blvd station, which is just a quick 2-minute stroll to The Bonnie! Or if you're more about living your bus life, catch the Q69, Q19, or M60 Select Bus. All three buses have stops that are right nearby, either on Ditmars Blvd and 31st Street (for the Q69) and Astoria Blvd and 31st Street (for the Q19 or M60 SBS). Either way, no need to worry about parking! Just sit back, relax, and let the subway or bus do the driving!
Sadly, we cannot accommodate additional guests who were not on the original invitation (this includes children!). Even more sadly, pets should also stay home.
You can expect passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, a carnivore and vegetarian-friendly buffet dinner, yummy desserts, and an open bar all night long!
Maybeeee....
