We met in 6th grade on Kasidi's first day at Piedmont in Ms. Davis's 5th hour reading class. We were "best friends" through our middle school years and started dating the summer between Freshman and Sophomore year of high school. The rest is history!

It was Blakely's birthday (the day my mom told him I would least expect it) and she was so right! I had planned the day down to the hour. We were meeting for drinks after school and work, going to dinner reservations downtown, followed by a get together with a few friends to celebrate. Blakely texted a few hours before it was time asking if we could switch our reservations to Mahogany. I thought well sure, whatever the birthday boy wants! So I rushed to a store to get a nicer dress, changed in the car, and met Blakely and Darren downtown for happy hour. Darren missed the whole happy hour because he was "on the phone with his mom" when really he was helping make sure everything was ready for us. Blakely and I head to our reservations and leave Darren with the cake I had picked up for Blakely's birthday. I kept making sure that he remembered to bring it when we all met back up (I was SO clueless)! During the dinner, Blakely excused himself to the restroom about 8 different times. I asked him if he felt okay and told him we could go home after dinner and didn't have to meet up with his friends. Little did I know! I jokingly signed my name on the check "Kasidi Liebmann" and we took a picture of it, laughing at my wishful thinking and admiring how pretty it looked. We walked out and Blakely said that his friends wanted to meet us at a place across the Myriad Gardens. I still had no idea what was happening. We start walking through the gardens and we walk down to the water in a perfectly cleared area, and right then everything made sense. He got down on one knee and I said yes to forever with my best friend. A few minutes later, my family jumped out of the bushes from above where they got to watch the whole thing. After pictures, we walked over to the Omni for what I was thinking was to just meet up with our families. I was surprised with our closest friends and family all waiting to celebrate us. It was the sweetest day. We cannot wait to start our lives together as one!
