There isn’t much background to our story, it was honestly just fate that brought us together. When Jacob moved to South Carolina he attended the same school as Me. We ended up having mutual friends and as a result spent a lot of time together. Our time spent together created a spark between us and after Jacob went on a trip back home to Indiana, we started talking more seriously, you know how the saying goes “absence makes the heart grow fonder.” And it did just that, when he came home we made it official. Of course we’ve grown so much over the last almost 7 years together, but we truly do believe that fate brought us together!
Boy oh boy I thought this day would never come! Okay, so I’m being a little dramatic but I always knew I wanted to Marry Jacob I was just waiting for him to *pop* the question! And that he did just 5 days before Christmas (12/20/2019). I had no clue as to what was about to happen. All I knew was that we were going to see the Christmas lights at River Bank Zoo with some friends and my mom. We roamed the Zoo looking at lights but I wasn’t at all prepared for what happened next! Jacob wanted to take a picture with me and so we did, multiple times and just as I was getting tired of the camera I turned around and there he was, on one knee, with the most beautiful ring I’d ever seen and the most sincere look on his face as he asked, “Blakelee Danielle, Will you marry me?”
