Blake and Tiara’s love story began in 2016 during a quiet study night before winter break, when a mutual friend introduced them. Their connection was subtle, a passing hello here and there, but it led to two dates before the holidays, including Blake’s first sushi experience. They stayed in touch throughout the break, and after a chaotic travel night back to campus, they officially became a couple. They weathered time apart, celebrated milestones, and eventually decided to build a life together in Michigan. Through job changes, cross-country moves, and even a pandemic, Tiara and Blake continued growing stronger, welcoming their dog Navi in 2020 and navigating life’s challenges hand-in-hand. From exploring D.C. and Chicago to settling into their shared home, their journey has been filled with love, laughter, and resilience. In fall 2024, Blake proposed in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after a not so subtle surprise dinner and walk, marking the next chapter in their nearly decade-long story.
