We met on a blind date at a little coffee shop called The Service Station in Spokane, Washington. I remember this day as if was just yesterday. Blake was wearing a red flannel, blue jeans, and brown shoes. I was wearing a blue and green flannel, black jeans, and black shoes. We talked forever, staying hours after finishing our coffee. We had so much in common, and we just really loved each others company. That was really the start of our love story!
Since the day Blake and I met, we have experienced and accomplished so much together. We have moved to new cities and across states. We have earned degrees and have worked towards earning our dream jobs. We have experienced hardships and triumphs, and all with the love and support of each other. We are each others biggest fan's, and I think that is why our love is so special. In June 2019, Blake and I decided to make the big decision of moving to Gilbert, Arizona. Arizona has quickly become our home and we love it here! Blake is working his dream job as a Firefighter for Glendale Fire Department & I am working my dream job as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Banner Desert Medical Center. Blake and I recently bought our first home together and it should be completed in Fall of 2020. Amongst all the craziness and change, our love has been constant and never ending. I am so thankful for our love and the life we have created together. While our love story began years ago, we are so excited to open this new chapter of marriage!
So, how did he do it, right? Blake proposed at Papago Park in Tempe, Arizona after we attended the Octoberfest event with my family. After leaving Octoberfest, we headed over to Papago Park, "just to walk around". In the middle of the park is a pretty pond and a path that follows all around the pond. Blake and I went to explore around the pond while my family headed in the opposite direction. Blake knew the entire time exactly where they were headed! Blake and I arrived to the small dock on the pond, which is where we also reconnected with my family. Blake led me onto the small dock, which had rose pedals all laid out. We got to the end of the dock, which is where Blake popped the question and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said YES. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives together with you!
