Here are a few tips I thought I would provide to help with packing, getting excited for your vacation and staying connected with Blake & I during the trip! I will also post all of this on our wedding website. -Don't forget your white outfits for the Welcome Party! -For the men, pack at least 1 pair of pants aside from pants for the wedding. I know this sounds silly because it's Mexico and warm weather, but there are a few restaurants with dress codes. To give you an idea, here are the dress codes: Breakfast, Buffet, Lunch (casual) = Men & Women can wear swimsuits, however shirts (no sleeveless), shoes (flip-flops) & cover-ups are required. Dinner (Casual Elegance) = Women may wear skirts, pants, or dresses & close-toed shoes or dress sandals (no flip-flops). Men must wear long pants or a nice pair of shorts, closed-toe shoes & no sleeveless shirts. -Gratuities are not expected; however, they are appreciated. $1’s and $5’s go a long way! If you tip the housekeeping staff, they may leave extra goodies in your room! Typically you tip waiters, bartenders, housekeeping, and those who help with your luggage along with anyone else you feel you'd like to give a little extra something to! -We will be using WhatsApp to stay connected with those who want to connect with us during the trip. I will be creating a group on there before we leave on the 18th! Watch out for an invite to the app if you don’t have it downloaded already. -You can also download in advance the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app and search for Secrets or Dreams Playa Mujeres to search restaurants/bars, etc. if you want to familiarize yourself with both resorts. Blake, Emeri and I will be staying on the Dreams side (family-friendly), this is roughly a 5 minute walk and you can go between both resorts freely!
