Maid of Honor
Sarah and Sophia met during their FIRST year as middle school teachers...during covid. We both lived within a few minutes walk of each other and spent many afternoons walking around the Museum/ Fan district of the city venting about our insane school day experiences. I guess you could say that sometimes the scariest (and most traumatizing) of times creates special bonds and beautiful friendships. May the girl dinners, workout dates, and evening wine walks never end!
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Isabella met during sophomore year at James Madison University; we spent many many hours attempting to focus at the library/off-campus coffee shops...and also many *many* nights at our favorite downtown bar Ruby's. We grew closer each year, and I most definitely would NOT have made it to graduation without Isabella in my life. Isabella is such a special friend and the coolest NYC girl anyone could know.
Bridesmaid
Maryrose was Sarahs' very first friend. We have gone to every school together from elementary school to college. Neither of us had sisters growing up--but having each other definitely feels like the real thing. She is the older sister I never asked for but have always needed. It is insane to be able to say you have loved a friend for almost 30 out of the 30 years we have been alive.
Bridesmaid
Nicole lived a few houses down from Sarah growing up and we were a part of the same "play group." We (ironically) got closer after Nicole moved out of the neighborhood once we were in middle school. Then I was so lucky to be able to go to JMU and have both Maryrose and Nicole to look out for me as a freshman. Nicole is the friend you can call out of the blue and she will not only listen but give *much needed* thoughtful advice.
Best Man
Austin and Blake were childhood best friends and grew up through school together. Despite knowing each other for 25+ years, living together for several, and other trials that cannot be mentioned. Austin is not just a friend but a true brother. From all the good ideas, bad ideas, questionable ideas, and the "How did I let you talk me into this?" ideas. There is no other man I would want beside me at my wedding.
Groomsman
Patrick and Blake met at Virginia Tech and later became roommates after an intense discussion on which Lord of The Rings movie was the best. Despite the short time meeting Patrick, we became close friends through food, our culturally rich (nerdy) hobbies, and learning who the real slim shady is after a few rounds of Tequilla.
Groomsman
Blake's literal brother from another mother. Q and Blake first met at Brian's Steakhouse, Q's first words to Blake were "I don't like you but well get along for now.". Over the summer both Blake and Q became friends and eventually a brother hood was formed through late nights playing pool and working on our not so fast cars.
Groomsman
Despite being Blake's cousin, Eric and Blake were more friends than cousins. From late nights playing video games, arcades, putt-putt, bumper carts, or trying to hide what Eric broke when he came over. Blake and Eric remained close friends despite the age difference and distance.
