Tomcat, the lovable and brave, shared a bus stop with Blake. At first, Blake wasn't sure if he could trust him. It may have been the way he says "orange," or the eyelashes of a Maybelline model. Eventually, Thomas and Blake would attend Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and their lives would be forever interwoven. Unfortunately for Thomas, he hasn't been able to get rid of Blake since.
Macy Musser
Matron of Honor
Macy and Madi met when Macy made her way into the world on March 17, 1997, becoming Madi's little sister. They have been besties since childhood, passing the time making musicals, writing Twilight fanfiction, or rehearsing for their award-winning angel vs demon duet from high school dance competitions (you guess who was who). They have had their fair share of sisterly fights, like when Madi used to make Macy sing in her closet because she was too loud, or when Madi accidentally unplugged the playstation during the final boss battle of their Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom Game. Madi stood by Macy's side at her wedding, and now Macy get's to stand by Madi's.
Austin Henson
Groomsman
Austin is a legend. During Blake's years in school, his teachers would say "Are you Austin's brother?" Great times. He's one of the tallest and hardest workers St. Louis has ever seen. As Blake exited high school, his brother officially entered the Special Forces. Two equally impressive feats, many say. A great brother, and a better friend, Austin will act as the field medic just in case anyone twists their ankle during the reception.
Michaela Hatfield
Maid of Honor
Madi and Michaela are sisters, twins, BFFs, and forever animal crossing buddies. Even though Michaela is the youngest Hatfield sister, she taught Madi many important lessons, namely a good skincare routine, how to do hair and makeup, and the joy of always staying weird. Madi and Michaela have been honestly mistaken as twins many times throughout their life, which Madi believes is mostly due to the fact that her lack of makeup knowledge makes her look like a teenager even though she is in fact a grown adult. Mic and Madi crack each other up, sometimes to a fault - we apologize in advance for any interruptions in the ceremony, y'all.
Cole "Rocko" McKenna
Groomsman
Blake met Rocko in college when they were putting on an event at SEMO. A little while later, Rocko somehow convinced Blake to move to Branson, MO, and they became roommates. They shared a tiny house that had a lot of character. They took several unnecessary trips to Dollar General, and logged far too many hours in Call of Duty. Rocko is a great friend, and one of the best people to play Dungeons and Dragons with.
Kristi Blackledge
Bridesmaid
Dr. Kristi Blackledge was Madi's college roommate all four years at Vanderbilt. They first met virtually one fateful day when Madi received a comment from Kristi on her Instagram post about being accepted into Vandy that read: "Hi girl! I wanted to ask if you'd accept my friend request on Facebook so I can inbox you! I promise I'm not a psycho creeper you just seem awesome lol" The rest was history.
JB Driscoll
Groomsman
JB and Blake crossed paths early into the groom's days in Nashville. JB had the beard of Odin and the personality of Nelson from Home Improvement (in a good way). Eventually, Blake recruited JB to volunteer with KLIFE, and the two would be a part of the same small group at church. He has great taste in glasses and an even better personality.
Rachel Kennedy
Bridesmaid
Madi and Rachel met at Vanderbilt shortly after move-in day, but exchanged novel-length Facebook messages in the months leading up to college, talking about their love for the Lord and a shared desire for Christian community in college. Rachel brings out Madi's deep side, and Madi brings out the weird hiding underneath those Rachel curls. Madi even convinced Rachel to work at Sky Ranch one summer #applyatsky.
Nathan Higgins
Groomsman
Nathan is a computer wizard, and the first person Blake ever met with musical ability. They met in the summer of 2016, and then forget about each other completely until Nathan's first day at SEMO. Even then, neither of them recognized each other until hours into hanging out. Classic boys, amirite? As legend would have it, Nathan and Blake became really close through camp, their fraternity, and Blake pretending to be his band manager. Nathan is a faithful friend, and has the pipes of a young Justin Bieber.
Emma Brookshire
Bridesmaid
Madi and Emma met at a Dallas meet and greet for accepted Vanderbilt students in the summer of 2013. They gravitated toward each other due to their similar styles (campy hipster cute) and, let's be real, their mom's similar styles (fabulous at all times). Madi and Emma have had many an adventure together- studying abroad in Italy, hitchhiking with French women, backpacking hundreds of miles across the US, all while processing life and singing along to their hiking playlists.
