Question

When will the bride and Groom be there?

Answer

We are checking into the Riu Palace Bavaro on 11/15/2025 and checking out on 11/22/2025. We would love to have people stay at the resort we are at so we can spend time together before and after the wedding. We have work with a lovely travel agent to set up a room block. Please do not feel obligated to book at our hotel for the entire duration of your stay! If you choose to stay at another hotel or Airbnb, please understand the we may not have a chance to see you before the wedding due to planning commitments we'll need to attend to once we arrive in the Dominican Republic. How do I book my stay?

Answer

We have a room block set for guests wanting to say at the RIU Bavaro. You are able to book outside of our block if you wish but we tried really had to get low prices for all our guests. Please reach out to our travel team at https://www.barefootbridal.com/kiahblake with any questions you may have or text Kiah or Blake after looking at the room block or Riu for booking rooms.

Room block payments

Answer

For those using our room block, please note that the room block will only be available until August 4th, 2025. All payments are due August 4th. If you'd like to set up a payment plan email groups@barefootbridal.com after placing your $100.00 deposit. Please text Kiah if you're having trouble finding your reservation number after placing your deposit.

Can I bring my kids to the resort?

Answer

Yes, the Riu is family friendly. Our only ask is to have childcare set up for a private dinner if you would like to attend and for the day of the wedding.

What documentation do I need to enter/leave the Dominican Republic?

Documents needed: ~Passport ~E-ticket (Free) All passengers entering or leaving the Dominican Republic must complete a FREE electronic entry and exit form, which combines the traveler's health affidavit, customs declaration and international embarkation/disembarkation forms. Where will the wedding be held

Answer

The big day will be held at KUKUA beach club and restaurant! The ceremony will be held on the beach and the reception will be at the beach club. KUKUA Restaurant Beach Club Punta Cana, La Altagracia 23000, Dominican Republic

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible but no later than July 27th, 2025. To RSVP go to the rsvp tab and search your first or last name. Please answer all the questions.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are getting married on the beach! We are asking all guest to wear beach cocktail attire. Women: Please do not wear white or cream dresses. Men: A suit isn't required unless you personally want to wear one or asked to wear one. Please no gym/swim shorts or jeans. If any questions please text either Blake or Kiah.

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

As much as we love your little ones, we are keeping the wedding day kid free. Please set up childcare for the wedding day.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are not able to accommodate plus ones unless stated on your formal invitation.

Can I take photos during the wedding?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony so we ask that you let or wonderful photographers and videographer capture the ceremony. Please take all the pictures you would like during cocktail hour and reception! We just ask you to wait to share said pictures until after the couple posts.

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Please answer that question when filling out your RSVP. We want everyone to enjoy dinner and cocktail hour with Kukua's amazing food!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! We will have delicious mocktails, cocktails, beer, and wine served all night!

What do I do if I can no longer attend?

Answer

We understand things come up! Please let us know as soon as your plans change. Please note that we will not be able to add you back into the head count after our final numbers are sent to our planner.
