We met the old fashioned way...through Bumble. Kenny had a checklist of five requirements that a woman needed to meet before he would swipe right on her profile. Luckily for Blake she met (and dare we say exceeded) those requirements. Even luckier for Kenny, Blake thought he looked cute and also swiped right. After a quick conversation where we realized that we enjoyed a lot of the same things, we decided to meet. Kenny planned a perfect first date at Lolita (Blake loves Mexican food!), which led to a series of amazing dates at the Aquarium, Olindy's for candlepin bowling, and Fenway Park for a Red Sox game. And we started to think... maybe this could be something special.
One year after we moved in together Kenny planned the perfect proposal. He invited Blake's dad, her brother Adam, her best friend Courtney, Courtney's boyfriend Dave, and her roommate Jerry to attend the proposal in person. He even arranged to have his mother Rose, her mother Kristin, her brother Jared, her sister-in-law Leanna and her nephew Wynn attend the proposal virtually. On a beautiful Saturday in April we walked down to Marina Bay for brunch (Kenny's favorite!) and Blake, who had no idea what was about to happen, started to notice that her family and friends were in attendance. Kenny got down on one knee and asked Blake to marry him and Blake said, "YES!". We celebrated at the Waterclub afterwards with brunch and mimosas. We were so grateful that we were able to share such a special day with our family and friends!
