The story of how we met is so "early 2000s cheesy movie" but of all of our stories, this is the favorite! I was 19 and I just started my first day of college. I had to rush to land myself in an anatomy lab that I needed credit for that semester, and the first lab was on my first day. The professor gave us all fancy microscopes and, mind you, I went to Pine Prairie in high school- they don't exactly have those there. Anyways, I was clearly having trouble keeping up and I look up to see a blonde boy staring at me multiple times, so I stared back but ignored him. He finally offered me help kindly, "Do you need any help?" and I said "NO" and ignored him while I was still left behind. He is persistent, so he asks again, and I said "NO, I'm fine." I watch over at a girl next to me, which helped me catch up. Turns out this girl was his ex that was also staring at both of us. The class ends, and he still approaches me to introduce himself to me and we go on our way. He finds a way to contact me from our other classmate and I started to become interested. But I had hard boundaries at the time, and I friend-zoned him...multiple times... After 1 year of friendship, I agreed to go on a date, and our relationship took off from there. Never slowing down, never losing a spark. He chased me for a while and worked to earn my trust. Now, we cannot do without each other. We even found interest in the same career together. We are more than happy to share a life together, and I cannot help but think "I am so glad he didn't give up on me!" I have no doubt that we were made to do life together.
